Hi!

I'm using a NW6.5 SBS sp1 server with GropuWise.

I need to define few users that will use only the WebAccess GroupWise services.

How and what shall I define, especially how to define to let them change their password over the internet?

TIA

Everyone uses WebAccess. What specifically are you trying to achieve.

Password change is built into WebAccess. However the initial password
must be defined by you or using the win32 client.

I did it, but when trying to change password in WebAccess, I'm receiving a message like "administrator set LDAP authentication" asking to use network services to change password (I translated the message from hebrew).

Those users will never work on the LAN.

What shall I change and where, to let them change password using only WebAccess?

TIA

First of all, you must be using LDAP Bind, and not Compare

If So, then this:

In C1, goto the NDS view, and locate the Domain object of the domain,
that host the WebAcc Gateway...

Find the object "GroupWiseWebAccess"

Leaf "Application/Settings"

I verified NDS view > TOOLS > GroupWise System Operation > LDAP servers > User Authentication Method it was already set to Bind.

I have 3 servers:

1. First with Border Manager
2. Second which has the GroupWise and LDAP services
3. Third the WEB server

Every server is in a different container.
In every one of the above 3 containers exist LDAP Server and LDAP Group objects.
The second container has an object "GroupWiseWebAccess". Another object "GroupWiseWebAccess" exist under the GWDOM object.
In both object "GroupWiseWebAccess", in the "Application/Settings" tab, I checked the "Search LDAP directories". I don't see there anything else about LDAP.

The problem continue.

When trying to change password in WebAccess, i receive a message like (translated from hebrew) "The administrator activated LDAP authentication. Use the directory service password to access your on-line mail box. To change your password use the directory service."

Please help

TIA

Please read again my message...WebAccess doesn't permit to change the password from the browser interface. The only one possible is to do it from C1 or NWAdmin32! But those users always work with the browsers! What settings I need to change to permit them to change passwords using browser only.

TIA

How amny webacc gateways do you have ???

If only one, I would then remove it, and delete *ALL* instance of
webacc related objects in eDir.
Then reinstall....

Belaves that your setup is hosed

Only one gateway!

Please excuse me, but I may be a little nagger, since I didn't use the C1 interface since the installation before 3 years.

In the same container with the GWdom are:
-WebAccConsole
-WebPublisherMgr
-GroupWiseWebAccess

Under the GWdom are:
webac65a
GroupWiseWebAccess
GroupWiseWebPublisher

Which of the above 6 shall I delete?
Can be there other related webacc objects?

TIA

Then how do you do your administration ?
And how did you check that the password check was enabled ?

Check TID10063641

Normally, they are all located below the domain object, but since you
got some that are not, then this might be the cause of this
